The Way Home

The Way Home shows the stretched evening shadows of my friends as we walked home along a familiar street. I was struck by how the light changed the space and how something as simple as a sidewalk could feel almost nostalgic. I painted it in oil, using soft edges and layered color to capture that in-between time of day when things start to blur and settle. Much of my work comes from noticing small moments like this — where light, place, and memory overlap.
